The conference will be held in the newly renovated Philosophicum building of the University of Tartu at Jakobi 2. Find a map to the entrance here.
The conference rooms are located on the ground and top floor of the Jakobi 2 building. All the rooms are equipped with projector, computer (MS Powerpoint and Adobe Reader installed, internet connection) and loudspeakers for the presentations. Please bring your presentations on a USB stick or upload them on the internet to save time and to avoid possible connection mismatches between your laptops and the projectors. If you wish to use handouts, print them out in advance or use one of the many copy-shops located near the university. The 30-minute time slots for the presentations are intended to reserve 20 minutes for talks and 10 minutes for discussion. Please plan your presentations accordingly.
The registration and the coffee breaks will be in the lobby of the Jakobi 2 building, located on the ground floor. Registration desk will be open for two days, 6-7 June. At the registration desk, you will also have the opportunity to purchase some of the latest local publications and periodicals. From the lobby, you will get to the room 226 (Ringauditoorium) where the plenary talks will be held. There will be signs up indicating the rooms throughout the conference.
Regarding the social program, two events have been planned. In the evening of 6 June, there will be an opportunity to take a free city tour with guide Juha-Matti Aronen (the tour will be given in English). The tour starts at 19 and will last about an hour, all interested should gather outside in front of the Jakobi 2 lobby. No registration for the tour is necessary.
In 7 June, there will be a reception for all the registered participants starting from 19 o’clock at restaurant Atlantis (Narva mnt 2). The restaurant is located across the town square on the other side of the river Emajõgi (which means you will have to cross the bridge if you are coming from the university’s side).
